Renewal of Vows“I love you not only for what you made of yourself, but for what you are making of me” Whether in time you have been married 6 months or 60 years, a renewal of vows is a ceremony re-declaring the love and commitment you made on your wedding day and is usually celebrated on an anniversary. A renewal is also a celebration to mark the deep love that married couples still feel for one another and wish to renew and celebrate the success of their lives and marriage on their anniversary. Sometimes people who have been through a crisis in their marriage and wish to enter a new phase with the commitment of renewal celebrate a renewal of vows. The ceremony is very personal and can revive memories, people, places, children, also marking the changes that have taken place and to honour and acknowledge the involvement of new people, children and the relationship in which their lives have since taken them. A renewal ceremony is many ways is similar to a wedding ceremony however there is no legal paperwork. After an interview, I compose an appropriate ceremony that is personal and reflects the path your lives have taken you upon. The ceremony also involves a choice of music, poetry and readings appropriate for the occasion. The ceremony is created from your past, present and future, renewing the vows you exchanged on your wedding day and pledges for the future. |
![]() Dear Rosina, We would like to sincerely "thank you " for officiating our "Wedding Renewal". Rosina you were the perfect person to lead our ceremony and from the moment I first spoke to you, you helped us stay relaxed and comfortable through the entire ceremony with your confidence and warm smile. As much as we had a few minor hiccups with the rain and location at the beginning, it was still very meaningful, memorable and romantic. The new lcoation was just 'perfect'. Your delivery and explanation of "marriage" was very special and dear to us as part of the ceremony. Once again thank you sharing our beautiful day with us. Carlo and Raffaella - celebrating 19 years of marriage. |
